Dyme o' Mite
author: Robert Clark
The voices are woeful and lamenting and wonderful to listen to as they portray the events in Songs such as Graveyard, Who's That Knocking at my Window, No Letter in the Mail. But wait! The sadness is completely overcome with the joyful exuberance of dueling fiddles as they trade off harmonic riffs in "Indian ate a Woodchuck/Streak of Lean Streak of Phat"
This album will make anyone a fan of bluegrass. I discovered this band by accident as they played for a 50th Anniversary of an Architectural Firm in Berleley CA in 2007.

Old time that rocks.
author: Andy P.
How do young players manage to sound so timeless? Its a mystery. This CD is a fresh distillation of the music of coal mining country and the Carters and a few other things. The tapestry of twin fiddles, banjo, mandolin, guitar, and banjo-uke is rich, with charmingly reedy vocals on tunes like the sweet but not-so-coy Whose That Knocking At My Window and the dark Ive Always Been A Rambler, along with slightly oddball grab-your-partner instrumentals like High Up On Tug. Extra points for faux-depression-era CD cover.

I love this album of beautifully played and sung Oldtime/Bluegrass tunes. If you are into this type of music, Dime-O-Mite! is a must-have CD: a mixture of haunting melodies and lively dance numbers. Highly recommended.
