Album Notes

Mercy River's Climbing is modern rock/pop CD that captures the diverse styles of this highly acclaimed Philadelphia based quintet.

Mercy River is Michael Vesper (Vocals and Acoustic Guitar), Jeff Kay (Guitar and Vocals), Sam Musumeci (Bass and Vocals) and Shane Rozum (Drums), who currently make their homes throughout Southern New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. With their recent performances with Collective Soul, Stroke 9, Smashmouth, Tonic and Vertical Horizon, just to mention a few, Mercy River is poised to break onto the National Music Scene with their CD 'Climbing'. 'Climbing' has received rave reviews from Radio Program Directors, Music Critics, Promoters, Retailers and the general public alike, achieving substantial radio airplay in the Philadelphia Radio Market and surrounding areas with three different tracks on different radio formats. 5 Songs from 'Climbing' were chosen by the producers of NFL Films music/football television show 'Under The Helmet', which airs on Fox Television. 'Climbing' has sold over 6000 copies to date. Mercy River recently contributed "a little more", a song from the CD, to Mardi Gras Pictures new film "Quest for the Holy Ale" due for release this fall. The band can also be heard on a national television advertising campaign for the new hip men's magazine "Stuff". Mercy River's most recent conquest is taking the #1 spot and a $250,000 recording contract from garageband.com in October 2000. Garageband.com is the cutting edge music web site lead by Jerry Harrison and Sir George Martin. The band has toured extensively throughout the Northeast region. Mercy River continues to grow and evolve into a powerful musical force not to be missed.
