The re-release of Meridian's debut album. Frank Zappa heard this disc, and told Jon Nelson (via telephone) that Taxin's Brass Quintet was the best brass piece he'd ever heard. Included is "Fanfare for Nothing", a humorous 10 minute video about the MAE.

Album Notes

This album was the catalyst for everything Meridian that came after. The MAE began its long look outward, toward music of popular and serial genres, creating new interpretations of old music, and collaborating with "out of the mainstream" composers.
