The Meridian Brothers are always beating the instruments, crushing the acoustic guitar/kalimba, modulating the electric piano with looped random signals while singing joyfully the traditional anthem of the tiny happiness. They use to record the little diatonic glockenspiel and the clarinet playing a set of different patriotic melodies and old polkas but anyway, drumming with all kind of mythological instruments (also virtual ones). The singer, called the “Arabian devil meridian”, sings like a classical salsa latin soprano from the seventies and also screams the native “cumbia” shout in different melodies and airs from a far far away land called Bogotá. The advent of the woman-castle (translation of the album’s title in the native language) is arriving with this new music for parties, dance reunions and of course, for further meditations.
