The Meridian Brothers are always beating the instruments, crushing the acoustic guitar/kalimba, modulating the electric piano with looped random signals while singing joyfully the traditional anthem of the tiny happiness. They use to record the little diatonic glockenspiel and the clarinet playing a set of different patriotic melodies and old polkas but anyway, drumming with all kind of mythological instruments (also virtual ones). The singer, called the “Arabian devil meridian”, sings like a classical salsa latin soprano from the seventies and also screams the native “cumbia” shout in different melodies and airs from a far far away land called Bogotá. The advent of the woman-castle (translation of the album’s title in the native language) is arriving with this new music for parties, dance reunions and of course, for further meditations. To be enjoyed as possible.
