MERKAVAH
"MERKAVAH" - A sound track of a soul... A musical ritual. An Hebrew psychedelic opera.
"Merkavah" integrates essential jewels from the Torah, ethnic music and the computer, creating a Transglobal biblical soundscape.
"MERKAVAH" is a journey to the mystical soul of Israel and the renewal of prophecy.
"MERKAVAH" is a biblical musical collage of four essential and universal texts: the Creation through the Ten Sayings from the book of Genesis, the Ten Commandments from the book of Exodus, Love your kin as yourself from the book of Leviticus, and the prophecy of the Holy "MERKAVAH" (chariot) of the prophet Ezekiel.
Two of these sacred texts have for the first time been rendered to new original music. most of the musicians in "MERKAVAH" are part of the well-known ensemble SHEVA, leaders of a new wave of Israeli world music.

A very powerful combination of music and sacred texts
author: Esteban GottfriedMerkavah has made a great and powerful combination of music and biblical texts that penetrates the soul. Even if you don't get the words you can feel the entire journey and feel part of it. I recommend the disk as one of the best representatives of a new emerging Israeli culture.
Rare and exquisite music from the Holy Land
author: Dr. Shams Jodi PrinzivalliFrom the moment I heard the first notes of this CD, I knew it was of a caliber rarely heard in America. This music touches the soul and opens the heart in magical and profound ways. As a meditative Kabbalist with Sufi initiation, I have found this CD to be like a river that returns the soul home with ease and grace, sacred music from the Holy Land that pleases the ears of our generation while being grounded in ancient tradition. A must-have for every lover of sacred sound.
