Chris Merkley began playing publicly at the age of 15 and has since traveled to a dozen countries, over the course of three European and four American tours.

Drawing from influences such as Little Walter, Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and the Allman Brothers, Merkley blends numerous incarnations of blues music as it has evolved through the decades. With the combination of resonator guitar, blues harmonica and baritone vocals, Merkley carves his style between the generations of blues, folk, and rock music.

He has been regarded as one of the most promising young blues musicians both home and abroad, and at 26 years old continues to carry on the spirit of American roots music.
