Pain, trauma, and negative emotions are known to be associated with the aftermath of having an abortion. After my personal abortion experience, I became familiar with many of these emotions firsthand, and existed for years with secret agony, depression, torment, guilt and shame. My extensive search for peace and wholeness led to pages of the Holy Scriptures. There I discovered promises, offering forgiveness from the past, and hope for my future. Each poem featured on the "No More A Secret" CD was birthed based on my discovery of new-found hope. The accompanying music is unique, as composer Nathan S. Elliott, discerned emotions exuding from my heart ... once wounded ... broken … torn ... now beating with emotions of healing, confidence and strength. The memory of my child still lingers, and I will always regret my decision to abort, but the words of the Master Healer, and the decision to pursue healing, remain my greatest comfort.
