Album Notes

1. Sandcastles: Childish, romantic, a fine home for
imagination.
2. Santa Fe Cafe: A real place; interestingly, it's in
Maryland.
3. Tsunami: Written before the big one hit south
Asia, I was trying to capture a sense of
their power.
4. Kilowaterpiller: This title is just an example of Lewis
Carroll's 'jabberwocky', a nonesense jumble
of words that really has nothing to do
with this beautiful love song.
5. Isis: The Greek goddess of fertility; another love
song...and you can dance to it.
6. J'ouvert: A massive all-night-street-party in
Trinadad characterized by a dancestep,
revelers covering themselves in mud,
or axel grease or chocolate or...all
going on to steel drum music.
7.Camelot: I wrote this snippet to familiarize myself
with a new synthesizer and digital
recorder.
8. Migration: Again, a powerful force of nature that we
humans still don't understand. We can't
control it or use it. Isn't that cool?
9. Short Cut: Everyone knows this one....or we could
walk the long way home....
10. Cloud Forest: A remarkable ecosystem where tree-tops
and clouds form a unique environment.
11. Perfect Circle: Legend has it that Leonardo da Vinci
drew one as a submission for a commission.
12. The Circus Flea: A musical representation of their
antics.
