Album Notes

If you liked the first few MESSAGE CD's, you will love this one and is a must for serious collectors!!! This MESSAGE Live CD is packed full of live versions of songs from the original MESSAGE release + 5 unreleased songs that Dean Fasano co-wrote with one of ROCKS premier song writers, RICHIE SAMBORA. Dean Fasano is most known for his emotional vocal style. His voice can be heard on Message (w/Richie Sambora and alec Such), Prophet (the self titled release), Message Fine Line, and Message Outside Looking In. Some interesting facts/background on Dean.... He was one of the very first singers for Twisted Sister. He was also asked by management to audition for Journey, which the great Steve Alfieri, from Brooklyn, now sings for. LoverBoy's management asked Dean to join them until Mike Reno decided he wanted back in the band, after the release of " THE BIG ONES". Dean was the founding member of the progressive hard rock band Mithrandor along with AL Romanelli, which released two CD's in Europe. Dean also sang lead for the Vinnie Moore group. However, he never released a CD with them. Bonham also wanted Dean to be their singer. After flying to England from New Jersey, the record company wanted to capitalize on the Zepplin connection so they insisted on a Robert Plant look alike named Dan. Dean has also worked with Chuck Burg,(Brand X, Hall and Oats, Michael Bolton and now Billy Joel. The band included John Seigler of Hall and Oats and Albert Anderson (Bob Marley & Wailers) on guitar. Dean also sang for Mercy (formerly called the Screaming Mimis featuring the brilliant brothers Meland Louie Terpos for whom they did a demo with Bobby Mayo (Peter Frampton and many others) for Tommy Mattola. Dean was instrumental in helping sign many bands to a label over seas. Dean also contributed talent to the label, starting with Jack Yanoso and Phantoms Opera(for whom he had sung with along with Tico Torres(Drummer for Bon Jovi), Alec John Such (Bass-Bon Jovi) and the late brillant guitarist, Louis Russomanno. Silent Witness, featuring the wonderfully rock solid bass playing of Hal Selzer, the brilliance of guitarist John Bushnell. He also got Departure signed. All of Dean and Messages's early CD's were showered with the obviously remarkable instrumental genius of Mike Walsh (guitar, bass, and keys) and Johhny. Mark Allen Lanoue (Persian Risk, BILOXI) contributed the title track of the MESSAGE Fine Line release. However, his name was left off of the release. Let's not forget the wonderful, former lead singer of Prophet, Russell, for whom "Arcara" was named. There are others, but lastly Dean was proud of Kate Agresta (the coach who brought Annie Lennox and Cyndi Lauper's voices back to their original beauty with Jon BonJovi and Richie Sambora who as a young and up and coming "Rock Stud" made miraculously astounding improvements to their singing voices. They were both graced by God with sheer raw talent, but learned from Katie how to sustain the well being of their voices through rigorous schedules. As you can see, Dean's been around the block a few times and hopes everyone enjoys the Message. This CD showcases the talents of one of the premier song writers in the world, RICHIE SAMBORA, and is a extension of his musical genius. This release contains RICHIE'S best guitar work to date.

Not Bad!

Not bad.....this was about my 3rd listen and some of the songs are catching on.....probably nearly as good as some of the top bands of this style of rock, like Boston, Foreigner, REO and others... I have a question....can anyone put a year on this recording? 1980? '81?
