Album Notes

Brent Daniel, Wade Berry, Gary Wolfe, and Wayne Lynn formed the MessMakers in 1996. Writing songs which returned them to their roots in music from the mid 1970s, their debut album Better Days invoked images of the Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and the Rolling Stones. Brent, Wade, and Gary all sang lead and took turns with rich vocal harmonies. Intricate guitar work from Brent Daniel and Wade Berry continues to delight new fans to this day. MessMakers Better Days is not to be missed!

This is a great record, no doubt. SCHWEET country-tinged Eagles/Dead-esque stuff. Beautiful melodies, super tasteful guitar fills and solos, cool lyric content. If you dig this, you REALLY oughta hear Brent's latest "Audible Lift" - released as a Ready Set Go record. It's the natural progression from his MessMakers days, and really REALLY tasty. Songwriting is more Beatlesy/Stonesy, and guitars are the second coming of Layla. Check it out!

Hey folks, Brent from the MessMakers in Los Angeles. I just want to point you listeners to my mates singing lead and playing soulful guitar and bass. Check out Wade Berry tracks 2,5,7,and 12. What a great recorded singer (and guitarist). Our Soul Daddy on bass Gary Wolfe sings track 6 which became a minor hit in Canada. Add in Dirty Wayney Lynn on the skins and we got this magic. (I'm sure you'll know the other sounds are me)...thanks for listening! - BD.
