This CD contains original English lyrics inspired by the Book of Psalms set to original music inspired by the lush sounds and emotions of 1960's Brazilian jazz. The lyrics are powerfully uplifting, causing the listener to remove themselves from temporal earthly things and to fix their eyes and soul on the Living God. The music is intelligent and fresh, yet stays true to the heart of the classic Brazilian sound.

Laura and Mark's vocals are beautifully blended. Her guitar performance carries the listener from joy to introspective sorrow. The production has an earthy, rich texture.

Produced, recorded and mixed by Jeff Berkley of BerkleyHart fame with a guest appearance by jazz trumpeter Gilbert Castellanos, who has recorded with Diana Krall among others. Brian Wright on bass and Brian Cantrell on drums add their fine performances.
