The Sanskrit syllable OM or Aum is said to be the primordial, essential sound from which all other sounds arise. Since ancient times, yogis and meditators have taken the help of OM for their meditation practice. This powerful and melodious recording features an ensemble of meditation and yoga practitioners singing the sacred syllable together. This is a very special recording. In track one, the syllable is chanted in a continuous unbroken stream of sound. In track two, gifted singers in the ensemble improvise adding angelic harmonies and other musical dynamics.

The Katha Upanishad says of the sacred mantra: "The syllable OM is indeed the Absolute. The syllable OM is the highest. Whoever knows this symbol obtains all he desires. This is the best support, this is the highest support."
