Micah Wolf is a singer songwriter from Maui whose simple melodies and relatable lyrics encourage introspection. Now, with his second album “beyond the shores” soon to be released, Micah continues his musical journey spreading his music and the sense of optimism that emanates from it.
Wolf has found what is important to him. He is happiest when writing songs that are not only about looking within, but also about reaching out. The Algalita Marine Research Foundation, one of the most trusted international experts on marine pollution, partnered with Wolf to make a stirring music video for his new song “One By One,” concerning the harmful effects of plastics in our environment. Patagonia’s Cleanest Line was quick to post it on their site. “We hope the video will raise a few eyebrows and get people motivated,” says Wolf. “Sometimes we all need a little inspiration to make small changes that can have a big impact on our world.”
With three mainland tours under his belt, Wolf is no stranger to life on the road. Born in the Northwest, he and his mother traveled across the United States, Canada, and Mexico experiencing life in communes. As an adult his sensibilities have been shaped by the cultural melting pot of Hawaii, which has been his home for the last fourteen years. Meanwhile, the road less traveled is calling him again. Wolf and his band have established a second home base in Bend, Oregon, from which they will launch their next road warrior adventures. Wolf’s self-titled 2006 independent release proved a great foundation. The record was played in 17 countries and reached #4 on the CMJ charts. His songs have been placed in numerous television shows on VH1, MTV, and Fuel TV.
Unpretentious and good-humored, Micah Wolf succeeds in creating a sound that makes you want to pull up a chair and hang out. Where contemporaries like Ben Harper and Jack Johnson have paved the way, Micah takes a gracious step forward on his own musical path.

Outstanding Album
author: G/
I have been waiting for this album since the day I bought his first one. The wait is over - and it was well worth it. Cuts like TRAIN SONG, ONE BY ONE and MOVIES (not to mention his reworking of MUSE from his first album) are great songs, as is the title cut. Micah has a unique way of taking a worldly view and an internal view at the same time - not easy to do, but he makes it feel natural. If you don't know Micah Wolf, you owe it to yourself to buy this album and see what you have been missing.
