On August 20, 2010, the Lord deposited into me the song ‘Arise’. I was praying at the church that my wife and I serve in, and I was meditating on Romans 8:19...

“The earth is eagerly awaiting for the sons of Gods to arise.”

When I went up to the piano and started to play, the song just flowed out of a place of desperation for this verse to manifest. I will never forget the first Sunday we sang that song corporately...there was such a release of anticipation to have that reality made real.

After that, songs were being birthed on a weekly basis. Whether through a prophetic flow, or in the midnight hours of prayer, God gave me words focusing on the finished works of the cross, and the cry of a generation to see His glory and power released on the earth.

I remember what Rick Pino said to me, while sitting at my dining room table. “Mike, write what you want to see or be in 5 years.” And so, I said to myself, “What do I want to see in 5 years?” and I heard my spirit respond clearly...we want to see what the skeptic, what the religious, and what the atheist fear the most; the most genuine move of God this world has ever seen. So real, so authentic, that no one, except Jesus would be able to receive the credit for it, or deny that it is God!

I pray that as you listen to it, that you would not only be moved emotionally, or enjoy it musically...but that you would encounter God through it. May you be captured and raptured into His presence, and from that place see both the great commandment and the great commission fulfilled. This album is simply a cry for more of His presence.
