MICHAEL BLY - ARTIST BIOGRAPHY Have you ever had a bad day at work - so bad that you were ready to quit? Tell your boss to "take this job and shove it"? Did you consider all it would require? The pay cut. Going back to school, learning a new trade or even just the chance that, after all that hard work and effort, things wouldn't even be any better than they were before. Like most of us, you probably said "screw it", stayed where you were and just "sucked it up", right? Not Michael Bly. He reminds me of John Melloncamp in the way that he has educated opinions on life and not shy about expressing them, as well as having a great sense of humor. And I can dance to it!!

Eclectic homage to pop, alternative, and retro that creates a great sound.
author: D.C. Mangomaniac
Bly's debut delivers. Each of the 17 tracks is unique as Michael demonstrates sophisticated and eclectic song-writing skills and thought-provoking lyrics. The songs variously draw inspiration from classic rock, alternative, rockabilly, and big-band artists as diverse as Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Depeche Mode, the Stray Cats, and the Brian Setzer Orchestra. Yet all of the songs have a certain originality that makes for an enjoyable modern sound. I recommend this CD completely.
