Jericho Blues is the debut long player by 23 year old Nashville native Michael Harrell. Recorded in two sides, the album finds Harrell exploring his punk, rock and country tendencies. Influences range from The Kinks, The Beatles & Big Star to the Replacements, Dinosuar (Jr.) & Teenage Fanclub; you may even find a little Roger Miller in there if you listen closely.
The set was recorded and co-produced by Jason Bullock (How I Became The Bomb, The Privates) at Lake Fever Productions in Nashville, TN. John Davis (Superdrag) and Ethan Luck (Relient K, Demon Hunter) made up the rhythm section. Other guests include Natalie Hemby, Charlie Pate (Dixie's Finest, Bucktown Kickback) and Josiah Holland (The Lonely Hearts).
All the songs were written by Harrell save for a cover of Pedro The Lion's "The Longer I Lay Here" written by David Bazan.
