Album Notes

This was Miles debut recording in 1990 that sparked a new world of banjo sound. Pete Seeger couldn't believe his ears. Miles took traditional melodies, wrote a counterpoint harmony line for a second banjo (that he played) and put these banjo duets in musical settings that include marimba, piano accordian, jazz flute, fiddle, mandolin, double bass and more.

"One of the most beautiful recordings I've heard in all my 70 years. This is enough to make me want to learn the banjo all over again."
PETE SEEGER

"One of America's top ten clawhammer banjo players."
