Album Notes

Born In Beckley, West Virginia, Michael always knew that he wanted to be a musical performer. He brushed off the good old boy accent and started an early career, often performing as a duo with his brother.

This versatile singer-songwriter has entertained audiences from Washington DC to Key West Florida with his easy fingerpicking and expressive voice.

While trying to make it home on a snowy night after playing a gig in Washington DC, Michael wrecked his car and broke every last one of his picking fingers. Seeing this as a sign that winter weather was bad for his health, Michael packed up and headed south until the road ran out in Key West, Florida.

That was in half a lifetime ago. Michael has rarely spent a day any where else since. Key West owns his heart and soul. After performing at the Casa Marina, the Pier House Resort, Sloppy Joes, Captain Tony’s and various other venues around town, Michael settled on the Schooner Wharf Bar as the place where he wants to die on the stool. Long time fans come back year after year to relive the experience that made them fall in love with Key West, too.
