Michael Miles returns to the acoustic scene with humility, gentleness and a tranquile spirit with the sophomore release "TRANQUILITY". With the persistent prodding of friends and fans, Michael locked himself in a room with great acoustics and played for several hours straight. From those moments of solitude comes this quiet, meditative collection of instrumental songs.

All the songs were created live and on the fly using an array of effects processors and a phrase sampler, allowing Michael to create various patterns to play with. Because they were created live and not recorded in the multi-track method, they will not contain that "too-perfect" massively-produced sound that you've come to expect from the major labels. Instead, you can experience the raw, untamed beauty of the live moment.

TRANQUILITY was designed to be one of those cd's that you'd stick in after a long, hard day and drift away on your couch into your own little world, washing away your cares and your troubles. May it bring you the same peace, relaxation and tranquility that it brought Michael in the process of recording and producing it.
