MICHAEL MIRAND, Jazz and Standards vocalist, Frank Sinatra Tribute Artist, composer, actor and director has been performing professionally for nearly forty years.
Hailing from Buffalo, New York with roots on Southern Ontario, he primarily performs in clubs, concert halls and theatres, and jazz festivals throughout New York State, Southern Ontario, and Central Florida up and down the Space Coast, as well as Montreal, Toronto, New York City, Boston, Las Vegas, and D.C.
His Standards sets with his jazz quartet, "Upbeat Jazz" include the music of the Gershwins, Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, Johnny Mercer, Rogers and Hart, Van Heusen and Cahn, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Duke Ellington, as well as Bebop and Beyond artists such as Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Horace Silver, and more, with a song list will over 500 compositions.
Michael's theatrical career includes acting and directing nearly 200 plays, musicals, movie and television parts including the male lead role in the film, "Where The Hell Is North Tonawanda?" He performs his own composition, "You Rock Me The Best" which can also be found on his new cd "Don't Worry 'Bout Me".
