The Album gets it's name from the very distinct scent associated with rain in the Sonoran desert; for me, it's synonymous with an Arizona summer thunderstorm.
This music, like the scent of rain, is a reminder of where I came from and what I treasured most growing up in Arizona. It is my hope that this album will serve as a compass so that I never forget why I began this absurd journey in music many years ago.
Composed over the past several years, these pieces were written in a wide variety of styles, ranging from light neoclassical to dark and brooding contemporary classical and postmodern. Years composed can be found in the track descriptions.
