ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A unique, minimalist blend of garage, roots, rock and roll and blues, performed mainly by one nineteen year old kid with a tambourine taped to his left foot and an acoustic guitar that's run through overdriven tube amplification. He’s helped out along the course of the album by tons of percussion, tic-y tac sixties esq electric bass, harmonica (Rusty Reed), the occasional upright bass (Don Marcotte), some kit drumming (Robbie Szabo) and gronky flourishes from an old 1950’s Hammond M-3 household organ (Rene G.W. Lemieux). A new take on traditional music, using retro soundscapes applied to the eternally interesting roots of North American music.

Like a Punch in The Groin
You know how once in a while the world stumbles upon something as great as The Beatles? Well Michael Rault is better. It's amazing to me how this punk has released four albums and girls aren't chanting his name in some Asian country about now. Watch out though, because if music lovers have any sense they'll flock to this album, and embrace him as the resurgence of rock and roll. The people have spoken, and they want more Rault. Somebody knock off The Jonas brothers and put this guy at the top of the charts. These are catchy songs played for a short attention span with a few exceptions. "Alright then, thats another masterpiece, lets hear the next".
