Romancing the Moon
author: Paul
I went to a fundraiser in Cambridge and Michael went on last. I couldn't believe my ears. He was picking that guitar as if he had been born with it in his hands. He voice low and sweet sang out the most thoughtful and beautiful lyics. When all was over I ran up to the table in back and purchased both his CD's Whispers in the Wind and Romancing the Moon. I played whispers for next 2 weeks and now I haven't stopped play Romancing the Moon over and over again. Don't take my word for It purchase it and you'll be hooked.
Thanks Michael keep up the great songwriting and singing and I'll keep listening.

Whispers in The Wind, Michael Troy's 1998 CD, has been on constant rotation in my CD player for over 2 years now. I love how he crafts a story and delivers a song.
I am ecstatic to say that now I have Romancing the Moon in my list of “every day” listening CDs. No matter my mood, Michael Troy works for me.
There is a truth in this music, a simple, honest, beautiful truth, that I can’t put my finger on or solidly explain, except to say that it makes me happy, sad, wistful, homesick, content, curious, and beyond… It just makes me FEEL…which, I think, all good music should do.

Top notch!!

I was able to see Michael Troy play at the 2005 Springfest in Live Oak, Florida. He played and ended up winning the songwriters' contest for this year. After you hear his material, you'll understand why he won the award. He writes intricate and well-constructed songs, while telling a story in a manner that would make Bob Dylan proud. The comparisons to Dylan may seem trite or cliche, but Michael's lyrical ability is so dense that you need repeated listens to get it all. Outstanding folk album that is one of the best overall albums I've heard this year. I definitely hope to hear more from Michael in the future.
