Energetic, Exciting, Fun, Insightful and Honest Music... those are just some of the ways people have been describing this highly skilled and much sought after group from Seattle, Washington. Lead by the raspy & raw lead vocals of Michelle Lang, this urban, contemporary gospel band brings a seamless blend of old school R&B, Hip Hop Soul and Neo-Folk. "Going to an MLSW Production is an experience. It overwhelms the senses ! Within two hours, I sang, laughed, cried, danced and hugged perfect strangers... and it was all great ! "

Since it's inception in 2000, MLSW has garnered a consistent following among urban and suburban audiences alike and they've developed an uncanny adaptative ability to rock a stage from the club to the conference and all levels in between. As a young girl from the south, Michelle Lang was heavily influenced by the colorful, electric and infectious songs and performances of The Commodores, Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder and the like. As a young lady, musical & improv theater mixed with '90s hip hop took centerstage and thus the heart of Michelle Lang and Still Water was born.



MLSW is also a notable force in the area of Urban Praise & Worship. With a trained focus, MLSW engages audiences with standard tunes and new original songs without missing an inspirational beat. "Something about when MLSW leads worships just feels like 'home' ", says one enthusiatic fan. They've performed at a variety of conferences and festivals including CompassionWorks, Urban Youth Workers Institute, Seattle Pacific & Northwest Universities, The FolkLife and various projects with Young Life and World Vision, Inc.


Inspiration, Intimacy & Impact is what drives Michelle Lang & Still Water. The mission for every show is to joyfully inspire the listener to better know God, One-Self and One Another and from that make a difference in the world! Still Water is.... The name Still Water refers to the variety of ways a story can be told. The Still Water Philosophy says, "...don't just talk the gospel...sing it, dance it... Paint Pictures with it ! "
