Album Notes

Michelle wrote “I Cry Holy” when she was just 13 and stunned her parents. She was writing well beyond her years, content-wise and even her voice had an adult maturity to it. She continued to write, all through her high school years and recorded her debut, My Angel Knows, in 1993. She toured these songs on ministry platforms across North America through her early twenties and sold thousands of cd’s.

In 1994, she joined forces with her husband, Barry Patterson, her music took a delightful new turn as his amazing guitar work and songwriting took her writing to another level. She maintained depth and intimacy, but grew by leaps and bounds musically.

If you are a fan of Michelle’s current work, this project may surprise you! (You may not even recognize her in this photo:) Retracing the first steps of an artist’s path can lend a great appreciation to their metamorphosis.
