notes
Independent Singer/Songwriter Guy Michetti has released his first extended play CD of original music (4 songs, including the title song, "I'm Coming Home"). The release date for the EP was October 6, 2003. Michetti will donate all profits from the EP, after production costs, to Disabled American Veterans. The title song is about a wounded soldier's exuberance about coming back from a tour of duty in Iraq. The CD has gotten airplay at WSIA 88.9 FM in New York City and his music has been streamed and downloaded off the Internet by people all over the world.
Guy's musical style of writing and performance has been described as classic traditional American rock influenced by the likes of Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and James Taylor with nice storytelling, good dynamic landscape, and lots of musical variety. Famed producer and songwriter Wally Gold acutely recognized his songwriting talent. Mr. Gold who worked for Don Kirshner, discovered Kansas( the band, not the state) and has written hit songs for people like Elvis Presely and Leslie Gore, expressed appreciation for Michetti's songwriting abilities after hearing a live performance.
The CD includes the song "Can't You See The Lonely?" which was recently awarded honorable mention in the 2004 Billboard Magazine World Song Contest.
Coming from a musical family background, Guy Michetti began his musical career the day his Grandmother Gelsomina arrived in New York with a guitar for her first grandson. He wrote his first song at the age of 14 and was inspired by his grandfather's songwriting.
Guy has shared the concert stage with jazz great Dizzy Gillespie and folk artist Arlo Guthrie. He was on the road in the '80's performing with Rock and Roll's famed Bill Haley's Comets as its youngest member playing lead guitar.
He is currently recording a full CD and has been playing dates in the New York City metro area to promote his recordings. Go to www.guymichetti.com for more info on this talented singer/songwriter.

This "Guy" handles rock, ballads, folk beautifully.
author: Jane Anne MayerA friend told me to listen to the title song. I stayed for the other 3. Each had a different feel to it. Together they give you a range of music from good old classic rock to an ode to the loneliness of the disenfranchised in NYC. I gave it a 5 for its unique range and the way the lyrics got to me - laughed and cried. Great voice, excellent guitar.
Very touching title track, Guy knows that lyrics mean something.
author: doctoroThe only reason it only gets four stars is because the CD only has a few songs. Lyrics that speak to the heart. Should be a big hit with anyone who has someone close, who is far away......
