MIC On All 4's
MIC On All 4’s
This fourth album by the group MIC is good, from start to finish its’ toe tapping rock with great guitar licks. It has a clean sound making it their best yet, this album isn’t like KISS, it isn’t like HUMBLE PIE, it isn’t like STATUS QUO, it isn’t like 80’s ROCK, it’s like 2012 MIC. Keep up the good work MIC.

Underground Empire

No wonder that Yvon is crawling on all fours ..
There is no question: now we can call Yvon Serré a jack-of-all-trades! Because only a few weeks after his solo album "Trap" He stands ready with the fourth - MIC , the four albums have been released within two and a half years. No wonder that Yvon is crawling on all fours ...This enthusiasm and work ethic of the Canadian, who "makes it in China," The new effort "On All 4's" full justice: The Rock inspiration of M.I.C. goes way join forces to positively, with the funk-inspired> Chemicals 'and AC / DC light-number> Anything' stand out a little. In short: Straight Rockers for 2012, MIC "On All 4's" is not bad ,

You've pulled it off!
I just got your CD, and I'm listening to it now. I'm only about half-way through, and I'm happy to say that although it's still true to "Yvon", the song writing doesn't sound like your other CDs. I was thinking that the new CD might sound similar to past releases, but you've pulled it off! It's you, but you're not writing songs that resemble past songs we've heard. It keeps it fresh! Good on ya! The French album was kind of harder than I expected, so I expected this MIC CD to be harder too...especially since all you reviews seem to come from hard and heavy magazines. But nope, it's definitely MIC...
It's usually harder and harder to top the last album, but I just KNOW that you will in 2013. Keep the dream!

Out to Conquer the World
MIC aka Made In China are definitely out to conquer the world like any product of big Asia nowadays. Although the troops have not all been assembled yet, there are enough of foot soldiers and various small gadgets here to keep the listener on their toes. "On All 4's" - much like the title may suggest? their fourth album and perhaps even the strongest so far. Yvon Serré (vocals/guitars) and company are coming up with eclectic rock and punk heavily influenced by the seventies and the eleven tracks on display are all nicely performed.

racks such as "Chemicals" and "Happy Days" had me seriously thinking about Joe Jackson of the late seventies (I've recently discovered him and been playing the 'Look Sharp' record a lot lately). You know, the funny lookin' dude with hits such as "Is She Really Going Out With Him" and the song later covered by Anthrax, "Got The Time". It's a mish-mash of U.K. influenced ska punk-rock and the more hardrockin' attitude of Cheap Trick. By the way, Joe Jackson's "Look Sharp" - one seriously underrated album of the past. "Cookin'" is meat and potato hardrock while the opening stomper, "Can't Take Anymore", fits nicely inbetween cocky melodic rock and the strutt of the Stones. Final verdict: Not too shabby at all really.

Jon Wilde "Rock Realms"

Arguably their strongest offering yet
Guitarist/Singer Yvon Serre returns with arguably his strongest offering yet: the suggestively titled "On All 4's". Taking his trademark classic rock overtones, zingy pop melodies and bar room grit, and adding a big nod to his early days with bands like "Yvon Serre Groupe" and "The Harry Straight Band", On All 4's should sonically appease existing fans and newcomers alike.

Mixing achingly catchy commercialism 'Can't Take Anymore', nigh-on Brit pop 'Chemicals', gnarly pop ' Cookin`', and chilled rock 'You Tonight' (co-written with Jon Wilde who runs this very website) with more besides, On All 4's puts the work of many bigger bands to shame with it's adrenaline, fun-factor and variety.

Putting more of a deserved emphasis on his underrated guitar talents, Yvon may have been treading the musical boards for a couple of decades but he's still getting better with every release. Fine wines improve with age, and so does Yvon Serre by all accounts.
