Mid August Night hails from Carbondale, Illinois, home of Southern Illinois University. They formed in March of 2005 and performed their first concert in April of that year. Ever since then, they have been writing and performing around the country to crowds of all sizes.
The sound of Mid August Night is interesting to say the least. Their brand of acoustic based rock and roll is found hard to resist. With infectious guitar riffs and three part vocals, each song is sure to intrigue.
Mid August Night saw great success in 2006 with their first release entitled "A Sterile Story E.P." It features two original tracks produced by Jim Callahan (Story of the Year, Simple Plan) of Jupiter Studios in St. Louis, Missouri. They look for continuing success for 2007’s “Coach Light Manor”. The band has been featured in the nationally renowned Urban Climber Magazine and has enjoyed much critical acclaim.
The band has one mission and that is to use their talents to do what they love, write and perform. Their hopes are for listeners to enjoy the melodies of each song while being able to connect with the feelings in which they were founded upon.
