‘Midnite Walk Riddim’, the first album to be released on Cross Seas Entertainment. ‘The Midnite Walk’ features a total of 17 up-and-coming artists from the UK, US and Nigeria, and is the first instalment in a series of riddims to be released on Cross Seas. The London-based label, run by the former Monserrat resident Young Blee, aims to prove that quality dancehall is not the exclusive preserve of Jamaica.
Aside from the main dancehall riddim, the album also features both a hip hop and soca version. This is almost certainly a first within dancehall culture and backs up Cross Seas’ intention of reaching out to as many individuals as possible.
