Album Notes

The Midnight Shakedown was formed in 2005 by Billy Thompson, Matt Wilkinson, and Mike Skillings. The three players brought their love of 60’s and 70’s rock together to form a new, and unique sound. Each player has his own set of influences ranging from The Beatles, to Jimi Hendrix, to Queen, to Frank Zappa, to Radiohead. The band began playing regular sets in summer of 2005, tightening up their sound and stage show. In 2006 the band toured both Massachusetts and Vermont winning over new fans along the way. The band also won 1st prize at the Massassoit College Battle of the Bands. In early fall 2006, the band released its debut album recorded at Same Sky Productions. The 11-song CD has already won rave reviews and is proof that The Midnight Shakedown is just getting started.
