Excellent

Discovered Mieka by accident. People were posting the names of great undiscovered artists on a thread on a board and Mieka's name was mentioned. I checked her out and bought the album the same day.

WOW - What an improvment
author: Kjetil The Norwegian
I finally bought this after long consideration, and that was a very clever decision. I enjoyed Ms. Pauleys last release the ep "Out of Car Wrecks and Hurricanes" which shows a remarkable talent.
On this release she takes her talent a bit further. The songs are beautiful and the lyrics are thoughtful and intelligent. She haunts and captures me with her tunes, and there is not one weak track on the album. My only regret is that I haven't bought this album earlier.
Please make your out of print debut available again!!

great voice, music, lyrics
author: Hollie S.
Mieka Pauley's smoky voice is amazing to listen to, and her lyrics are thoughtful and intelligent. And don't put off by attempts to categorize these songs as soul or blues, there is a pop sensibility to her melodies that outshines these genres to my ears. (Also, as of this writing Mieka tours a lot...if you have a chance to see her live, by all means don't miss that opportunity.)
