Might Could tries to entertain listeners by creating and performing songs with rhythmically interesting, tight, and neatly interlocking parts. We aim to serve as a contrast to guitar albums filled with endless soloing. People have told us our songs seem to draw from influences ranging from heavy metal to progressive rock to jazz, and we've been compared to King Crimson, the California Guitar Trio, Steve Morse, Michael Hedges, Megadeth, and Béla Bartók. The lineup consists of Andy Tillotson, Tim McCaskey, and Aaron Geller on guitar, with Luis Nasser on bass detail.
"Wood Knot" is their second album. Although the writing style and "attitude" behind the CD is similar to their first release, the songs are often longer and more fully developed. Also, the band used a live mic in mixing, creating a fuller acoustic sound.

Press:
From Bob Mulvey, at the Dutch Progressive Rock Page: "I'm finding it nigh on impossible to offer a helpful, all encompassing sentence or paragraph to capture the essence of Might Could's music. To me it is a veritable potpourri of ideas that together make a rather pleasant aroma. Frippian intricacies mixed in with Beatlesesque pop sensibilities. Music that is as complex as Yes or Jethro Tull in their prime and all accomplished without drums, a flute, keyboards or an electric guitar."

From Olav Bjornsen, progressor.net: "All the pieces come across as strong, and certainly above average in terms of performance as well as containing fascinating elements and intriguing melodies, with some moments of pure brilliance." (Full review: http://progressor.net/review/might_could_2007.html)

Wood Knot - Not as well Intertwined
author: khatru24
I saw Might Could live at Prog in The Park where they totally captivated me with their energetic, tuneful arrangements and rhythmic textures. I prefer All Intertwined to some CA Guitar Trio arrangements. I played All Intertwined for months. This CD, Wood Knot, while still very, very nice, doesn't have the same energy level nor the same complex and rhythmic arrangements. I know that the band members are now geographically separated and it was harder for them to get together, so I hope they can find time to get together this year to put together another set of songs as compelling as All Intertwined. I still enjoy Wood Knot, it's just a more mellow album compared to All Intertwined. You guys are great!

Wood Knot is excellent
author: John O'Connor
Even better than their first CD. The pieces are longer and better realized. I especially like the ballad like sections which were absent from the first CD. I love the drive and rhythmic intensity, but once in a while, it's nice to relax a bit, too. Like the first CD, well worth buying and playing repeatedly
