Album Notes

Japanese Punk Jazz at its best - a stunning mix of quirky lyrics, beautiful Japanese melodies, strong Pacific beats, clever jazz chords and Cuban flute solos. A perfect blend of World Music and Jazz with a unique personality.

Miho Wada wanted World Music to be more accessible to all generations and Jazz to be happy. Who else would think of turning traditional Japanese melodies into Funk Jazz? Her quirky and catchy lyrics capture our modern daily life in true form. She sings both in Japanese and English as well as exploding with her Afro Cuban improvisation on flute and saxophone. Miho is accompanied by her band members Colin Hunter (bass), John McNab (guitars) and Tala 'Ofamo'oni (drums).

Miho's idea for "Postcards to Your Bed" was to have words and sceneries within one CD like a collection of postcards. She wanted beautiful instrumental film music and songs with personal messages in one album. Miho has lived in 5 different countries and her music has influences from around the world.
