Album Notes

Mikayla Lee is a country vocal sensation from Tecumseh, OK. Mikayla, having started in dance, changed direction at just 10 years of age, and went to her mom and dad telling them she needed to sing! Though it was one of the toughest decisions she had made in her young life, she knew playing and writing country music was the direction she wanted to go in.
Mikayla has taken her gift of movement polished in dance and combined it with a powerful voice to give a performance on stage that is well beyond her years. By now, she has wowed audiences at the OK State Fair, the State Fair Speedway, various festivals, Hall of Fame Jubilee, Country Music Singers Assoc., American Kids, the Oklahoma Opry, the Centennial Rodeo Opry, and is now moving into surrounding states. Most recently, she has been asked to appear at the prestigious Johnnie High’s Country Music Review in Arlington, TX.
When asked, Mikayla says her goals in life are not just to sing and dance, but to also be a positive entertainer that reminds others one can be active in the community, stay out of trouble, and still have fun.
This album includes songs written by Bobby Pinson, Melissa Peirce, and Steve Seskin. They have had hits with Tim McGraw, Toby Keith, LeAnn Rimes, and Sugarland just to name a few. "Might As Well Be Me" is Mikayla Lee's debut project set to wow listening audiences around the world.
