ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This all new release features some of Nashville's' more prominent and respected musicians tailoring music for the Trop- Rock crowd. The songs are Parrothead inspired and written with the end result of you popping a cold one and relaxing into the music. The theme of the album is escapism at its' core. Tropical vacations, Southern girls, all of the things you would rather be doing than working and paying bills.
Mike Broward is joined by producer/ engineer, P.T. Houston in this Nashville recording with musicians, Brian Pruitt on drums and percussion, Brian Davidson on guitars and Mandolin, Mike Rojos on keys and accordion, Don Kerse on Bass, Doyle Grisham on pedal steel and dobro, and Don Sheffield on trumpet.
The track titles tell you where you're going.
Parrothead Rehab, Just Not Today, Floribama, The Road To Rum, I want to Quit My Job, Lucky Man, Alligators, Lighten Up!, and It's Conga Time, suggest a variety of scenes while tying in an overall vibe of Island adventure.

It's About Time!
Finally someone put together a world class production of great songwriting with upbeat fun music all held together with an enjoyable vocal presentation that sings from the heart and soul of the Trop Rock world. I haven't heard a more fun CD of Trop Rock music since about the mid 1980's when Buffett was charting One Particular Harbour and Floridays... It's brilliant Mike... It's fun... It's truly Nashville quality and you won't stop listening to it. I heard someone say you can always tell a great song from a good song. The great song will be still be in your head in 5 years... This CD will be around for many years. Mike you did an amazing job on this and you have set the high-bar for all of your peers.

What a fun CD. I am converted to Parrotheadism! "Lighten up" is a favorite of mine as it is a song that makes the day start out wonderful! What island have I been stuck on all this time!

STRESS RELIEF
Definitely grab a cold one and kick off those shoes. You have to relax and move at the same time when you listen to this CD!

Trop Rock at it's BEST
I listened to this cd for the 1st time while sitting in rainy traffic at 5 pm and it was one of the shortest rides home.
I was taken on journey to the Islands and by the time I got home I didn't remember how I got there.
Mike has put together one of the best..I do mean the best Trop Rock cd's recorded. The production, writing and Mike's ability to sing and take you away from your dailey rat race is what any and every Parrothead needs.
This is a instant classic cd...Mike you have raised the bar!!!!

Parrothead Rehab
Mike is family, he married my sister. So I know what he has gone through over the years to create a CD of this quality. And being a musician myself I have been a harsh critic of some of his previous CD's, plus I'm not really a trop ock kind of guy. But this CD made me cheer. It doesn't matter what kind of "style' music one makes, when it's real it communicates. I was truly joyous when I heard this. The production, musicianship and songs are top dog. I keep picking a favorite song then a few days latter it has changed to another one. Its that kind of CD. I put this one on when i have to do housework. It gets me movin with joy. Whoooo Hooooooooo

Parrothead Rehab
I love this cd! The production is wonderful, the songs are just what is needed to take one away to that laid back place that does not allow stress or personal problems to get in the way. A personal favorite is "I Want to Quit My Job". Now who among us full-time workers doesn't want to quit our jobs? I listen at work - it makes my office one of the few places my co-workers can go to get away from it all for a few minutes - and maybe go to the tropics. Escapism at its best.
