Album Notes

Mike Conley is a smooth singer-songwriter that has a voice which, at times, may leave you somewhat breathless. He has sung all of his life. As a child, he would spend hour upon hour singing to Billy Joel tunes at the top of his lungs in his parent's living room (luckily, no one was home when this went on). This accidental dedication to singing helped Mike develop a very, very special vocal tone. Mike has the kind of voice that you feel like you've heard before, but, you haven't. It's the kind of voice that has the ability to take you on somewhat of a musical journey at times - it really does. Mike's always said that he is a singer first & a guitar player second.

In his music, Mike makes it a point to try to sound unique. Rather than going for the "hot" sound, Mike goes with his heart. Mike is not, & never will be, interested in sounding like the musical "flavor of the week". Mike's tunes range from intimate solo-acoustic tunes to fully orchestrated band tunes (packed with violin, sax, cello, trumpet & also the kitchen sink). Some of his favorite artists are Coldplay, Jamie Cullum, Dave Matthews, Jellyfish &, of course, the Beatles.

Mike's first full length cd release is "My Little Secret". Released in the winter of 2004, this 13 track album is something special from start to finish. Packed with tons of interesting arrangements & instrumentation, this cd will definitely challenge the listener.......You'll be hard pressed to find a cd this diverse.
