Bio:
Can military men storm the stage of rock and plant their flag in the spotlight? North Carolina singer/songwriter, Mike Corrado puts the question to bed with his pop-rock sound and proven radio success. Mike, who has proudly served his country for years, has both the discipline of a U. S. Marine and the musical chops of Dave Matthews.

Mike Corrado began performing in the bars and clubs along the North Carolina coast while stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC with the Marines. Upon completion of his active duty commitment, Mike turned in his rifle for a guitar and life on the road. Mike Corrado and his band, which have earned comparisons to artists like Dave Matthews and John Mayer, began developing a strong grass roots following in the Southeast by performing 200-250 dates a year across the country. The relentless touring and radio play in the southeast, propelled independent CD sales to over 20,000 and led to the recent release of the live CD and DVD: Live At Thalian Hall.

Mike had recently completed his fourth studio CD Ziller and the Baboon... was released September 12, 2001. The events September 11, just one day prior changed many people's lives forever, Mike's included. The CD release tour had to be canceled as Mike was called back to active duty with the Marines.

The temporary hiatus from the road and demanding schedule with the Marines left little time for music, but Mike took time to reflect and write every chance he could. While working on songs for his next CD, Mike penned the poignant ballad "My Watch," a song about the trials, tribulations and emotions our soldiers face from their first days at boot camp to the front lines of combat.

My Watch
author: Beverly Clemmons
As i listened to this song for the first time I could feel the heartbeats of the soldiers as I watched them on the video. Your song is an inspiration to those for courageously and bravely risk their lives for the USA everyday and not to metion the children that are with them wondering what future they have. I am so proud of our TROOPS and what they stand for. Thank you for giving them this and for giving me a way to feel like I am there with them spiritually. God bless you and GOD BLESS OUT TROOPS!!
