Album Notes

This 6 song EP self titled Mike Corrado Band CD was the first CD we recorded as a band. It contains a couple re-recorded songs that were featured on the Mike Corrado’s very first release entitled A Drink, A Smoke, A Laugh and A Smile. This recording helped establish the jazz infused pop/rock sound that became the band’s signature sound which exploded onto the southeast music scene. Players included Lamont Sydnor on drums and percussion, Luke Varvel on guitar and keyboards, Mike Oughton and David Gerichten on bass, Joe Yankell on saxophones and Mike Corrado on acoustic guitars and vocals.

Recorded in Wilmington, NC, this CD soon caught the attention of some local radio stations which soon opened the doors to the Mike Corrado Band performing opening spots for national acts as well as the band touring full time. Several songs from this CD were re-recorded on follow on albums. If you download these songs and compare them to more recent recordings you can hear the musical evolution of the band.

The 5 CDs for sale are the last of the original print CDs and once sold, this CD will be sold out for good. These songs will be available on I-Tunes and all major, legal download sites. This CD is a must for any Mike Corrado and Mike Corrado Band fan.
