Mike Laureanno's songs have been accused of passing the whistle test with direct honesty. His background in traditional folk music makes for melodies that sound like they were written long ago, while his lyrics make ample use of metaphor and avoid cliché. In addition to being a songwriter Mike is a recording engineer, producer and sideman. Mike produced and recorded folksinger Michael Troy's debut CD "Whispers in the Wind" and Mike played bass guitar and sang high harmony for 12 years behind legendary NYC Fast Folk founder, Jack Hardy.

This album is dedicated to my parents Frank and Jean Laureanno for all their love and support throughout the years. Special thanks to my wife Carol Fay for her kindness, patience and understanding during the long hours that this project has taken me away from her. Thanks to my co-writers Roy Champagne and Michael Troy for their lyrical contributions and to all the musicians for their inspirational performances.
