Album Notes

General Rubble is an eclectic collection of compositions that span the new age, meditation, soundtrack, ambient, world, pop , rock, country and dance realms. Mike ONeill's brilliant and heartfelt works bring together a perfect blend of guitars, ethnic flutes, vocals, synthesizer textures and African percussion to produce a brillialnt work that exposes his "jack of all trades" compositions and performances.

Nammy Award Nominee Peter Phippen graces us with Native American/Japanese Shackuhachi flutes and various other flutes of the world along with Fender Bass and African drums and percussion. Sassy Maurer and Judy Willink blend hauntingly beautiful vocal textures and vocables. Renowned guitarist Michael Schlenker provides electric jazz/fusion chops to O'Neill's admittedly quirky, cameleon-esc and blues-based offerings. PIT Graduate Mike "Stubby" Lien added additional percussion, DeJembe, congas, shakers and drum kit on "Stubby". Eric Toutant sang lead vocals on "Fate". Zachary Hollenbeck provided lead vocals on "P" is my favorite letter. Mike, Eric and Zach appear courtesy GiantGumball Records C.2005.
