Album Notes

The Long Yellow Crayon was written in 1994, as the anchor song for a cabaret musical about Seattle, "Seattle, Land of the Long Yellow Crayon."

It is a song for adults, but because of the subject matter, is a favorite of children, as well.

Mike Pryor did the lyrics and shared the music writing and arranging with Judith Arlene Kay, who conceived of and produced the show.

'Crayon' has been performed all over the United States.

In this recording, Paul Carr backs up Mike Pryor with guitar and vocals.
