Mike Roberts has been performing and writing songs for many years. Ranging from traditional rock with his band 5ive O' Clock Charlie, to acoustic songs off his three solo discs, Mike’s songwriting and guitar work are legendary. Often in demand as a studio and tour musician, it’s his live performances that have earned him a reputation as one of the most talented guys in North Alabama.

“The Chain” is one of the earlier solo releases from Mike and certainly is one of his most unique. As always, Mike brings his blend of folk and blues to the music, but this time it’s not just his gifted guitar playing that’s featured. This cd is a skillful collaboration of guitar and piano, with Chad Lawson behind the keyboard.
