Album Notes

Mike Vial is a singer/songwriter from the Metro Detroit area who has adroitly packed in a lot of experience in a short amount of time. Playing for professional groups, like the Dearborn Big Band during high school, Mike has quickly developed a versatile ability on the guitar over the past ten years. As a solo artist, Mike is an active performer for events sponsored by Jamas, MichiganArtists.com, and the Musicians Guild, but he has also stretched out as far as performing in the Sunago Gospel band at the Pontiac Silverdome in 2004. His instrumental music was used regularly on WTKA's morning show in Ann Arbor during 2001-2005 and his vocal songs have been played on WKRK 97.1 and Western Michigan University's 89.3.

Music has also provided an excellent outlet for Mike to give back to the communities he has loved, too. During his senior year at WMU, Mike organized and performed at a sold out charity concert in Kalamazoo at the Club Soda featuring Stacia Robitaille and Knee Deep Shag. Mike brought together student organizations and bands to raise close to $2000 for charities dedicated to children. Busy balancing multiple passions, Mike scored his full time gig as an English teacher at Holly High School after graduating from WMU in 2003. In 2005, Mike and Aaron Noone created the Arrogant Rock Kings, an acoustic duo that played weekly at Fenton Hotel, the Penalty Box, and Sagebrush in Fenton. Recently, Mike finished his first EP (due out summer 2007) with producer Marshall Block of Real ii Reel in Fenton. He has studied under Michigan based, music professionals Trish Mroz, Chris Blackmer, and Ken Andreoni, and Kate Hart.
