One of the problems that I find with quite a lot of the Bluegrass and Bluegrass Gospel music recorded today is that there is a trend toward overproduction. Bluegrass is simple music and should be simply sung and simply played. I recently reviewed a new west coast bluegrass album that had violins (yep, not fiddles) in the background. Not Good. This is a well sung and recorded album. The vocals are just where they should be, out front. I was impressed by the lyrics and the heartfelt way in which they were sung. Kudos to you!
