Blues & Hard Rock meet Virtuoso Musicianship
I met and competed against Mike Westcott at a Guitar Center competition in search of the area’s best guitarist. That day he won and humbled me so much on guitar that I decided that instead of being a guitarist, I would study to become a producer and engineer instead. Mike's playing is truly incredible and deserved of all of the awards that he has won. Classical training and Virtuoso Musicianship combine make for an amazing experience to see Mike perform live. In the same way, this album is raw and sticks to his roots of Blues & Hard Rock. Every song flows effortlessly with a bluesy guitar edge. My favorite track is “Moose Knuckles” because it most reminiscent of the style he played when he won the guitar competition eight years ago when we met and he helped me solidify my career choice. Definitely check out this album and all of Mike Westcott’s work.
