Dread at the Controls

We've lost an Icon. Mikey Dread was one of the roots reggae dub-wise style of the '70's. I enjoyed listening to him on JBC's "Dread At The Controls" back in the '70's. He had his own unique
style with sound effects. He opened the door for dub-wise to play on radio stations. He was not only a dj, but he was also a teacher to the youths
I remembered him from the early days at King Tubby Studio where I met him.
He will be sadly missed. We will always love you and you will continue to live through us with your
music. You're an angel in Heaven and remained one
of the only artist to open doors for other artists. Jah Bless and rest in peace. Trevor Reid.
