Album Notes

Formed in August of 2004, MILITARY JUNIOR is a St. Petersburg, FL based three-piece Alternative Rock band. Lead singer Jason Schultz (formerly of Chalkpeople) approached long-time friends Eric Glinsboeckel (Bass and formerly of Brainiacs Daughter) and Bryce Munger (Drums and formerly of Chalkpeople) with a few song ideas which immediately caught everyone's attention. After a few rehearsals it became clear that this trio works perfectly as a unit in song writing, composing and playing. Although the members of MILITARY JUNIOR don't believe in comparing themselves to other bands, their music has been side by side with Indie bands such as MeWithoutYou, Slint, Squirrel Bait and more commercial bands such as Toad the wet sprocket. In addition to signature songs such as Authority and Test of Time (which were written in non-traditional time signatures), the latest set of songs represents a mix from fast and powerful to slow and dynamic which is what MIILITARY JUNIOR is about: diversity
