Album Notes

The Milk Man born Tim Murphy In San Francisco in 1975 fell in love with hip hop at the age of ten. He started writing his own music to other groups instrumentals at the age of fourteen when his family moved to Windsor Ca. which is a small town 60 miles north of the bay area. He hooked up with a young DJ in high school and they began recording music on a four track. They performed at talent shows and any concert they could get on performing with local groups 5150 and RBL posse. The Milk Man began producing his own music eventually and Still Grindin' is the first album he has released. The album includes local rappers Malice, Cavity , and Vidi of the Rumble Pak. The cd also features Amanda Larsen singing on many of the songs as well as the Milk Mans wife on the first song, Don't give up. His daughter Carina Murphy is featured on track number 4, Popcorn. (she came up with the idea for the track's chorus) The Milk Mans music is a combination of old school hip hop mixed with the bay area sound he grew up on. Influences include Ice Cube, Big Daddy Kane and Rakim. He is currently working on a group project with Cavity and Jackpot.
