Album Notes

"...one of the finest jazz groups on the Boston circuit today. Outstanding!" Douglas Sloan, Metronome Magazine.

Mill City Trio's third studio recording features an eclectic mix of tunes, including the Afro-Cuban "Calling Card," the New Orleans-style "Rare Bird" and the frenetic swing tune "What to Do if You Miss the Rapture." While most of the tracks feature the band's signature sound of two electric guitars and drums, the album also includes an acoustic version of "Whirlpool," rich bass overdubs and additional percussion, creating a unique and varied musical landscape. The CD was beautifully recorded by Brian Charles at Zippah Studios in Brookline, MA, and masterd by legendary engineer Toby Mountain.
