Album Notes

Based out of San Francisco,MILLER is a volatile mix of atomic rock, country blues, funk, and percussive locomotion, crafted with a superior instinct for arrangement and lyrics. The music embodies an Americana that stretches beyond a city, style or genre. With their world wide CD debut entitled "Going Down", Miller has made a musical statement that is at times angry, poignant, funny, politically charged, and hugely entertaining, in other words, great original Rock and Roll with something to say. So, sit back, listen, and imbibe.

Like a ride cross country without the road rash

What is most refreshing about this band/cd is I can't say, "it sounds like." It is unique in it's sound as well as it's overall ride. One second I was laughing and the next I was mad. Then I could relate but minutes later I was thinking “this is very sick man.” The pain of an old girlfriend long forgotten jumped into my mind but was quick evicted by a memory of swimming in Lake Erie with my Golden Retriever. The thing is that it went on like this for me for the entire CD. It was like a time capsule of my life simply from listening to this. All the emotions both joyous and painful were all brought back with a timing that was enjoyable. To me that is what I look for in a new artist and it's getting harder and harder for me to do. I'm so sick of CD’s where one song can't be distinguished from the next. I'm even sicker of bands that have one sound that sets off an avalanche of other bands that sound just like them. WHERE IS THE SOUL? Well, for me, I found it here. I wouldn't say this is totally out of the "mainstream" but it's fresh. Production wise the CD sounds excellent. I have nothing bad to say other than.... why aren't bands like these all over the radio? Unique, solid, spirited, at times funny, at time pissed, at times hard, at times velvet but at all times brilliant. F-N-A man!
